Celebrating 6 Months In Our New Facility!

Celebrate!

As of April 4th, we are so excited to be celebrating 6 months of operations in our new facility!

A big round of applause to everyone who has helped to make this transition as successful as it has been.

In this timeframe we have made some big strides:

750 clients served

110,000 meals delivered

450+ volunteers

63,400+ miles driven

We are so grateful to have finally settled into our new home and are looking forward to all our future endeavors!

…In the next 6 months…

There are a few staff changes in the works here at Meals on Wheels. We’d like to keep you up-to-date! In July, at the end of her internship, Joy Hammond will join us full-time as an Office Manager. And, sadly, we wish Hayley all the best in her next steps as she plans to say goodbye in June. Read more about these changes and what they mean for you below.

Good-bye Hayley!

We are sad to see her go, but Hayley will be wrapping up her time here on Friday, June 10th. Initially joining our team as an intern from The Shalom Project (just like Feleen and Joy!), Hayley has served in many administrative roles over the last three and a half years. She is so grateful to have gotten to know the volunteers and clients and to support all the growth MOWL has undergone in the last few years. We wish her all the best as she moves on in her career.

Congratulations, Joy!

First joining us back in August 2021 through The Shalom Project, Joy will officially be following in Feleen and Hayley’s footsteps and will transition to the MOWL team this July as an office Manager. She is taking on bookkeeping responsibilities and will be overseeing driving volunteer coordination as well as other administrative tasks starting in April. She is excited to formally join the MOWL team and hopes to complete her MSW in the next few years! If you see Joy, please congratulate her.
