Kevin is going to attend the annual Meals on Wheels America conference. There he will be taking seminars towards a Leadership Certificate program covering areas of Fiscal Responsibility, Technology, Fundraising, Nutrition, Volunteer Management, and more. “I hope to bring back a wealth of new ideas that will help modernize our program. We have so much opportunity to serve our neighbors healthier and more efficiently. Here I will be with over 400 other Meals on Wheels organizations’ staffs sharing ideas and successes and failures,” Kevin said, before adding, “and I guess being in Orlando won’t be too terrible. It will probably be less hot and humid than Lancaster has been these past few weeks!” Part of Kevin’s trip is funded by a grant awarded by Meals on Wheels America and we are significantly grateful for their continued support of ours and other programs like ours to fight the food insecurity that comes for too many too often during aging.
