About the Food For Thought Library & Lettuce Taco-bout Books Club
Lettuce Taco-bout Books Club was started in 2024 by the creative minds of our staff and volunteers! Their sense of community and love for reading helped bring the Library to life the following year. They meet every other month on Thursdays at 4 PM at Meals on Wheels. Each member of the book club makes a suggestion for the book to read, and the suggestion is drawn blindly. Everyone is invited to bring a favorite snack to share. Bring your curiosity and please join us!
Since the Library’s grand opening in May 2025, we have been gradually curating a creative space built to nourish minds and spark connection. Managed by staff and volunteers, our library offers books, resources, puzzles and games to the community at large. We exchange these materials with our clients through their home-delivered meals services to encourage them to stay active and engaged at home.
How Can YOU support the Library?
$20/month buys 2 bi-monthly book club books
$8 buys a specific book a client is requesting
$5 will buy 1 word search book, puzzle book or adult coloring book
Make a donation today! Or if you have materials that you would like to donate in-kind, please drop off during our business hours Mon-Fri 8 AM to 2 PM or contact us to coordinate a time.
