Meals on Wheels of Lancaster has been in operation for 55 years. We’ve seen more growth during the pandemic than we have ever historically and are looking for a couple of dedicated individuals to help us fulfill our mission. Prep Cook
Start Date: ASAP
Part-Time
$15-$17 per hour

We are searching for an ambitious Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of wholesome and nutritious “Comfort Foods”. A suitable candidate will be quick to learn, diligent and willing to improve the process, while enhancing our vision as an organization. The candidate will be dependable and able to follow directions and suggestions. Must be familiar with food and safety regulations as required by the State. The candidate will also need to function in a fast-paced environment as a part of a team of diverse individuals. There will be volunteers of various skill levels, disabilities, and ages.

This position will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of simple dishes, the packaging of meals for distribution, organizing stock in dry & refrigerated/frozen storage. Familiarity with food safety standards is strongly encouraged. Some driving may be required.

Assistant Kitchen Manager
Start Date: ASAP
Full-Time
$17-$20 per hour

The Assistant Kitchen Manager ensures compliance with food safety protocols by engaging staff/volunteers through menu oversight, order/inventory management, and general safety precautions under the direction of the Kitchen Manager. This position will oversee some volunteers who will assist with the production of meals. The ideal candidate for this position will be detail oriented with a client-centered focus and an ability to work with volunteers of varying skill levels in the kitchen.

Office Manager
Start Date: June 1st
Part-Time
$15-$17 per hour

We are seeking an Office Manager who will be the first point of contact for many new/prospective and existing clients, as well as address the general inquiries of the organization overall. An ideal candidate for this position will be detail oriented with a client-centered focus.

It will be the responsibility of this position to ensure that client services are coordinated in a professional and timely manner. This position will also work in collaboration with our various partner agencies, volunteers, and staff. The Office Manager will use resources to connect seniors to necessary services, maintain inventory of office supplies, coordinate staff calendar and serve as the primary point of contact for customer service relations and general inquiries of the organization.
